TOTSON PROJECTINE LIMITED
01.2017 - 01.2021
  • Field Operator, Works outside in the plant and is in constant communication with the Panel Operator and
  • Lead Operator directly and/or by radio in field operations such as making manual adjustments to valves and equipment etc
  • Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating practice
  • Collect samples of various streams and delivers them to the laboratory
  • Start and stop pumps, compressors and other equipment based on the direction of the panel operator
  • Patrol the plant and ensures that the equipment is operating normally and that no unusual conditions exist
  • Accountability, Duty
  • To achieve the followings through the above responsibility
  • Maintain safe and stable operation
  • Keep required quality of product
  • Plant productivity improvement

EMARC ASSOCIATE NIGERIA LIMITED
01.2014 - 01.2017
  • Performed the role of an environmental officer, the company is involved in environmental cleansing such as oil spillage and waste management etc
  • I carry out field work with other co-workers to monitor and ensure adequate response in the case of any spillage in the environment where oil exploration and exploitation is taking place and the monitoring of pipelines to ensure that there is no spillage and if any ensure adequate response taken
  • Also take cares of waste of oil exploration site to ensure proper waste disposal.

UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL
01.2012 - 01.2013
  • I have carried out project work on the detection and measurement of radioactive elements in soil, plants samples in order to detect and measure the level of concentration of radionuclide activity in the environment due to the establishment of nuclear power sites along the coastal line, use of radiative materials for oil detection and exploration, test of nuclear weapon, nuclear accident due to Fukushima where long-lived radioactive elements are being washed into sea shore, distributed by sea current and also by mechanical means (air) into the environment, using Environmental Soil Sample, West
  • Kirby Estuary as Case Study (Northwest of England), Using BeGe ( broad energy germanium) detector
  • I have carried out a lot of research work with the use of detectors for the detection and measurement of radiation which include gamma, alpha and beta which are major decay mode of nuclides either long-lived or short-lived radioactive elements using environmental samples such as soil, plants, and materials from a decommissioning center where nuclear power station was established, oil exploration site where radioactive elements are used for exploration, nuclear weapon test and manufacturing site
  • My dissertation is on the use of various detection system(s) in detecting and measuring of the activities of radionuclides to determine their concentration to be able to ascertain their possible effect on human and on the environment
  • I have carried out duties as a volunteer in nuclear site as field operator where radioactive elements are used in the UK, Liverpool Royal Hospital where X-rays of different level is carried out such as radiation therapy etc., to make sure safety are in place and followed in order to prevent over dose of radiation on individual and patients and the radiographers and escape of dose into the environment whilst carrying out nuclear and X-ray activities respectively
  • I did courses which include, radiation shielding using mcnp simulation, high gamma resolution spectrometry, neuron detection and modelling, nuclear instrumentation, statistic, data collection and analysis, high resolution gamma spectrometry, nuclear instrumentation, radiation protection and dosimetry, alpha spectrometry, principle of radiation detection, applied environmental aspect etc
  • Have necessary knowledge on the use and calibration of various detectors of different pattern from Ortec and Canberra etc
  • For analyzing samples (such as, plants, soil, rock, air, etc.) for the detection and measurement of radionuclides activities, also the use of gas detectors for neutron and gamma concentration and the simulation of photon (gamma- ray) and neutron flux using mcnp codes all for safety and safe survey purposes in respect to radiation detection, measurement, shielding
  • I equally have the ability to work with gas detectors such as BF3, He3 for the measurement of neutron interaction in order to be able to analyze the neutron flux concentration and design the capacity of shielding needed to prevent direct exposure to the body and environment for safety purposes
  • Also, in carrying out monitoring in places such as Mining, Power Station, Pharmaceutical companies, Nuclear Laboratory, Nuclear Weapon Sites, Submarines, Borders, and
  • Airports, Sea ports, Oil and Gas Exploration sites etc
  • To prevent human exposure to
