Motivated student with a strong background in mathematics, economics, and English, complemented by the International Baccalaureate experience. My multicultural upbringing in Peru and Finland has cultivated adaptability and open-mindedness, enabling effective collaboration in diverse teams. Eager to deepen my understanding of global economic systems through the IBEB program.
I organize science-related talks at my school, in collaboration with other IB students as well as teachers. We invite experts to share their insights on various scientific topics. My responsibilities included interviewing the speakers to write articles for our school webpage, baking goods to sell, and managing the website.
As an active member of my school's Debate Club, I developed critical thinking and communication skills by researching and presenting arguments on complex topics. Participating in debates enhanced my ability to analyze different perspectives and articulate my thoughts clearly under pressure.
I mentored pre-IB students by sharing my experiences as a second-year IB student, offering advice on subject choices based on their academic strengths and interests. I helped them understand the challenges and opportunities of different subjects, assisting them in making more informed decisions.
I participated in fundraising activities by organizing and selling baked goods to raise funds for a school trip to Cambridge. I worked closely with my peers to plan, prepare, and execute the sales, ensuring we met our financial goals to support student activities.
I volunteered as a guide for future applicants (of my high school) and their families, offering tours of the school and answering their questions about the IB program. I shared my personal experiences to help them make informed decisions about joining the school.
