the aim and purpose of the internship is to complete my University course "work-placement 2"
The objective of the internship is to complete 375 hours of advanced placement in a hotel, restaurant or tourism company with the aim to give the student an experience of all aspects of the supervisory work and given an opportunity to learn what attributes make a company successful, the placement should enhance previous know-how and allow the student to evaluate the relevant standards; working methods and his/her own eligibility in the industry. The student should also be able to develop self-evaluation and observation skills.
The requirements for the employer offering the practical training placement are that they nominate a supervisor for the student and reserve a necessary amount of time for introducing the student to, and guiding the student in, their work.
The student writes a training report based on the diary entries.
