Biography

Iinge Ndinehafo Lapp is an Administrative Assistant at the Embassy of the Republic of Namibian in Helsinki, Finland. Her Employment journey with the Helsinki Mission begun in January 2015 upon completing her 5 months bilateral exchange program and later continued in the year 2017 to date serving as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant.

Iinge N. Kalumbu Lapp was born on 25 May 1990 in Oshitukafitu, Ombalantu, where she grew up in a native biligual family that spoke Shindonga, Oshikwanyama and Oshibalantu dilect and english. At Mandume Primary School, Iinge studied Oshindoga and was active in School leadership roles, serving as class captain, Deputy Head-girl and Head-girl Respectively and worked at the school Library and the Compute Classes. At Jan Jonker High School, Iinge continued to lead as part of the school representative council SRC for International Affairs, worked in the school library and hosted a fellow exchange student from France. Afterschool, Iinge joined the PAY program as known as the physically active youth program the assisted young people with their school activities with many volunteers from America, Canada, Germany, Britain and Namibia , organism camping trips and sports activities.

Upon completing high school, Iinge went on to pursue a social work degree at the University of Namibia and was awarded a bursary from the American Government to cover her studies. During this time, she continued with her leadership contribution serving as a peer educator, faculty representative for the faculty of humanities , working of a student assistant for the Justice training center. He has participated in the University of Namibian presidential campaign, which she lost and shortly went on bilateral exchange program to the University of Helsinki in Finland for a Five month period. During this she met her now, Husband, Mr. Tuomas Lapp who is an Electrical Engineer and served in the military services.

The Lapps have been married since 2016 and live permanently in Finland.

Administrative Assistant

  • Assist the First Secretary with efficient financial management of the approved budget, and ensure the strict observance of the provisions of the Guide to Missions Accounting, Treasury Instruction, and the State Finance Act.
  • Assist the First Secretary with the submission of monthly financial returns and quarterly reviews of accounts to the Ambassador on fixed dates for onward transmission to the Ministry.
  • Assist the First Secretary with the preparation of an inventory of the Mission's assets for submission to the Ambassador for consideration and transmission to the Ministry.
  • Act as a transport officer, and ensure that mission vehicles are supervised as provided for by the manufacturers, and that the logbooks are kept in accordance with standing instructions.
  • In close consultation with the First Secretary, I am responsible for inquiries relating to consular activities and assist the First Secretary with issues regarding visas and other relevant documents.
  • Assist with keeping updated stock, the issuance of such items, and the ordering of office supplies and materials.
  • Assist with the preparation, dispatch, and collection of the Diplomatic Bag.
  • Assist in the absence of the First Secretary with consular matters.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep of the properties rented or owned by the Embassy.
  • Assist with the VAT claim for the mission.
  • Update the Embassy Facebook page, and post photos from official events.
  • Assist with official event preparations, such as National Day on March 21, Heroes Day, memorial services, and booking hotel accommodations for delegations from Namibia, the Matka Travel Fair, etc.
  • And any other duties as might be required.
  • From August 2019 to September 2021, I studied at Diak University of Applied Sciences for a European degree in social services and resumed work on the 1st of October 2021.
