Development Manager at the Service Area for Health and Social Services
As Development Manager, my responsibilities included integrating development management structures and processes into the management system, supporting service lines in defining and prioritising development objectives, assisting project managers, maintaining the development network, reporting on the situation overview, and enhancing methodological expertise in the service area. The project portfolio consisted of approximately 40 projects.
This position was related to the large,national reform concerning health care and social services in Finland.
I was the Head of a €30 million development programme in the Area of Western Uusimaa, funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
My responsibilities included collaborating with all nine municipalities in the area, leading programme administration (including supervisory duties), which encompassed financial planning and monitoring, executing and coordinating procurements, coordinating development activities within the projects (including managing consultants), and overseeing and reporting on development status. This involved preparing for steering group meetings, internal reporting, reporting to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and collaborating with stakeholders in national and regional networks.
I worked as the Head of a national IT programme in the context of social services and healthcare. We developed a new national IT system from scratch in networked and matrix-type environments. I led the project office's work and was responsible for collaborating with the IT system supplier and numerous stakeholders. In addition to defining the operational model and system development, we created collaboration and decision-making models through which municipal actors could jointly develop or procure shared IT system solutions. Tiera, owned by municipal actors, acts as the distributor of the system. At Tiera, I served as the Solution Manager for the system. In this role, I was responsible for service productisation, pricing, sales planning, and primarily for executing sales. Additionally, I was in charge of implementation projects and ongoing service operations.
