I have spent the core of my professional career in the Police Service.
Effective communication, discipline, thorough risk assessment and calmness under pressure are essential skills in this field. Managing the expectations of extremely traumatized victims and witnesses has helped me to develop skills that would transfer to dealing with customers and clients in the private sector, building confidence in the service offered by my prospective employer.
I have completed various hands on training courses in the safe use of TASER, MOE equipment, defibrillators and driving to a high standard. These are fairly unique to Policing but demonstrate my ability to learn new skills with little prior experience.
I take pride in my work and see it as a reflection on myself.
