A passionate structural engineer with strong skills in rapid hand calculations for preliminary designs and proposals, along with proficiency in FE-analysis software. Feedback consistently highlights diligence, self-direction, and professionalism in completing tasks.
Primary competence lies in designing reinforced concrete structures, including post-tensioned and precast concrete. Extensive expertise extends to steel structures, steel-concrete composite structures, and wooden structures.
In general, my role in projects has focused on analyzing load-bearing structures. Additional responsibilities included drafting drawings, conducting inspections, preparing reports, and collaborating closely with designers and the project manager. Specific details regarding individual projects are provided below.
My task is to determine the bearing capacity of a concrete tunnel built in the late 1990s. The tunnel is located in the center of Helsinki under a very congested intersection, supporting trams, heavy vehicles, and regular traffic. The tunnel, which spans over 90 meters and includes branches, is used daily by pedestrians traveling between two department stores.
My task was to analyze the foundation of a cable stayed bridge, including the base slab, piles, and the lower sections of the pylons. The pylons extend approximately 86 meters above sea level. Each foundation measures approximately 11 meters in width, 30 meters in length, and 5 meters in depth. These foundations are supported by piles ranging from 15 to 25 meters in length, reaching solid rock. Additionally, I assisted in designing the bridge cables. Other tasks included creating drawings, conducting inspections, preparing reports, and coordinating closely with designers and the project manager.
