In the last 14 years at ALMACO, I have acquired experience in both external and internal accounting. Over the past 9 years, I have held the position of Business Controller, with a primary focus on internal controls.
When I started in the role of Business Controller, it was a newly established position, and I had the opportunity to collaborate with my colleagues to shape and define its role in ALMACO. Presently, my responsibilities includes overseeing the division-level P&L, from revenue to EBIT. I am accountable for monitoring the evolution of our Order Book and ensuring its profitability, conducting cash flow analyses, and aligning our forecasts with the actual business reality.
In 2020, ALMACO initiated an ERP change project, and I was as the Process Owner for the "Project Control” function. The project was not a smooth sail, and in retrospect, there were numerous aspects that could have been handled differently to achieve the expected results. Nonetheless, it was a valuable learning experience.
As a member of the divisional Management Team, I also bear the responsibility of crafting and implementing divisional strategies.
I have extensive experience working within multicultural environments and collaborating across various functions. In the role of a Business Controller, the ability to work cross-functionally is crucial.
