Inclusion Specialist Role

  • Develop and support systematic approach and tools for realization of rights and participation of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Plan International Finland supported development programme in cooperation with Plan International Country Offices (Ethiopia, Laos, Mozambique, Myanmar, Uganda). Plan International development programme seeks to advance Gender Equality and Girls' Rights especially through promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
  • Develop and support disability inclusion in Plan International Finland supported humanitarian actions funded by e.g. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and the European Union (Ethiopia, Jordan, Nigeria, Zimbabwe).
  • Support capacities of Plan Finland and Country Office staff to identify and address impact of intersectionality of diverse and marginalized identities e.g. gender, disability, ethnicity or other.
  • Support to development and coordination of inclusive approaches in Plan International Global programme and influence work. Member and co-chair of the Plan Global Disability Inclusion Working Group. Contribute to Plan Global Gender and Inclusion Working Group.

  • Was responsible for disaster reduction management and humanitarian actions of the organization in the country. Responsible for the FELM humanitarian response, coordination and implementation responding the humanitarian crisis after the massive earthquake in Nepal April 2015

  • Finland's Disability Forum is an umbrella organization of more than 30 national organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs). The Forum enhances rights of persons with disabilities and is the representative of Finnish OPDs in national and international levels
  • The Support Centre promotes equity and rights of persons with disabilities, minority rights and prevention of discrimination. Specific focus in refugees and migrants with disabilities and special needs through counseling, awareness raising, material production and advocacy on disability rights, minority rights and prevention on multiple discrimination
