I study the outer Van Allen belts using information theory and extreme value theory. In my work I have coded and applied tools for estimating the magnitude of unobserved extreme events. Currently writing a journal article.

Wrote my bachelor's thesis and coded tools for calculating mutual information between two random variables and applied the tools on satellite measurements. The analysis was used in a scientific paper by the research team.

Held exercise sessions in elementary physics courses and guided laboratory exercises.

• Was responsible for managing some CHF 100 million in spend on R&D and consulting services. My work included finding and contracting suppliers in co-operation with Hilti’s multiple R&D departments, managing the supplier portfolio consisting of dozens of companies and developing new service models with preferred suppliers. I also acted as a central communication point towards the suppliers and Hilti’s R&D departments.
• For other category managers in procurement I conducted spend analyses to help identify spend drivers and initiatives to cut spend. For these tasks I developed Excel tools to standardise and automate the work and create informative, graphical analyses. I also built and helped improve Excel-based analytics tools for internal spend reporting and for benchmarking the maturity of spend management within the company. Manual effort was reduced by hours per a single benchmark.
